Downloading Multiple PEOPLE Images

--- Quote ---The only point where I'll actually have to be at the computer will be during the image selection process, and since I'll be pre-processing the list against my database, only people in my database will be represented in my image selection routine.

How will you select images without actually seeing them? This the main point I was making, and the reason I'm having difficultly understanding your concept. If there are only a few, you would just download them all and delete what you don't want. But aren't your search routines going to find hundreds of photos for many popular people? You can download all those too. But it seems to me in many such cases it has to be easier and more efficient just to go the source and make the selection directly.

I appreciate your comments. My attempts to explain my process helps to clarify any details that need tuning.
In terms of people I don't want more images of, I'll set attributes (ie. readonly) on the person's directory to mark them as 'finished'. Once a person is 'finished', I won't parse image links from the gallery pages, and won't display gallery links in my interface. Using the same logic, I'll set the 'archive' attribute when updates have been made to a directory (so I know to process it further), then clear the attribute when processing has been completed.
Initially, I'm only parsing gallery links, which will speed my image discovery process. Probably the most useful way to process these would be to check how many images I have for a person and process people with the least number of images first.
I can also imagine that my ISP wouldn't like me downloading 8 or 10gb overnight, so I'll keep track of file sizes as the downloads progress and limit the process to some 'reasonable' number per day, as well as limit the number of images per person. My person skin has room for 11 images, which is quite enough for me. The main reason I want more than 1 image is that actors change with age, and more so with the makeup for particular roles. Michael Dorn in Worf makeup and without is the kind of contrasting images I want. I can see 4 or 5 images being adequate coverage for a person's an entire career....or even a single one for many of the b-movie types.
