How to use backup?

Okay so I've been backing my collection up for ages now, since there isn't really a save button or anything.. and I've got lots of movies. How exactly does one use the backup to restore ones collection, in-case of an emergency? Thanks!

The program includes a backup function—as described here. A better way to make backup, however, is just to copy the data file. Better yet, include it in your regular backup routine.
