Personal Video Database file missing movies Windows 8

Well, I do not know what to say, but the database works here perfectly. Are you sure you have the correct database open?
Use the "File -> Open" or in 1.0.x "Personal Video Database - Open" to select the correct database file.

Thanks for trying. After reading your message I loaded the program onto my laptop, which is windows 7, and managed to open the database.
It's not the machine I want to use it on, but I guess that's better than nothing.
Is my problem windows 8? Have you been able to open old datebases using Windows 8?
Yes I was opening the correct datebase.
My other Kung Fu Movies database wouldn't work on my new window 8 machine either.

Check access permissions for the database file. Other users seem to have troubles moving database files to other windows installations as well due to file permissions go wrong...
It should definitely work on Windows 8.
