« on: March 08, 2010, 09:17:20 am »
Thank you SO much Rick. I got my database back. Phew! It was my fault after all forbeing impatient while the database was taking so long to get uploaded so when I click again on the programe it would give me a Windows error. I should just have leave it working on the first place. Learned lesson  :)

Support / Trouble to restore my backup database
« on: March 08, 2010, 06:54:11 am »
I'm having trouble restoring my old database backup. The Movies.pvd.bak file is pretty big, 900Mb. When I try to restore from the programe it looks frozen for a long time. Maybe I should beprogram waiting for longer...

I have also tried to replace the default MOVIES.PVD file with my Movies.pvd.bak file in the directory -changing it's name to MOVIES.PVD- but when I lunch the programe I get this error:
Specifiel file is not a Personal Video Database XML file.

What's the best way to get my old database back? Thank you so much.

Thanks. I got rid of the problem. Something got wrong when I was trying to restore the database and I had to restart because it was all frozen. So when I relunch the program it was buggy. I reinstalled everything all over again and it's OK. Now I'm having trouble to restore my old database, but I would rather talk a bout this other issue on a different post.

Thanks. It didn't work. I'll tell you the whole story in case it can be helpful...

A few days ago I installed the new version and I've been using it without a problem. Today my database crashed. I replaced it with my latest backup from yesterday and it didn't work. So I decided to uninstall the programe and install it again, latest version. I haven't imported any database so far, it's just as empty as it comes. But 1st thing I find out is this error when I try to import a movie from IMDB.

Let me know if I can help you with further info. I apreciate your support.

I have a similar problem since I installed the latest version. It worked the first time I opened the program but the second time I started getting these errors:

Failed to open database

File is not a valid database Connection authorization failure Error Code: 3

I do have an untouched version of my old database. What can I do to fix it?
