Up to now I have been using my PVD with IMDB scripts and Proxomitron modified by Ivek. Some of them not working, so I used copy and paste. As you know lately IMDB changed their design and nothing works anymore in PVD. No Episodes, etc. My database has about 3.500 titles. I would like to ask you your point of view: What should I do ? Wait for new modified scripts (working with IMDB), move to the new MOD version (if it works with the latest IMDB design) and move all my data to the MOD version or, move to another Software ? Yes, it is true that IMDB has changed the layout of the primary werb pages for movies, series and episodes. I am already preparing and testing Imdb Movie (episodelist) scripts to download a list of seasons and episodes for a particular TV Series that work with the help of Proxomitron. IMDB_ [EN] [HTTPS] is already updated and works in PVD MOD versions.
Which version of PVD are you using. Also attach the IMDB scripts you use to see them and then maybe I can update them as well. Then I will also be able to tell you which PVD version would be best to use.

IMDB [EN] 0.9.8.26 (for film information) only works to search and display results, and then does not download any more information. It still works, however, if you use such an archived Wayback Machine url address for IMDb.

Such an address must be archived in January and until March, perhaps in April, and in any case before the change, when IMDb switched to a new layout of the basic web pages.
IMDB [EN] 0.3.0.21 (for personal information) is still working in a slightly truncated form because it does not transfer certain information (photo, awards).
Imdb Movie Script (combined) 0.1.1.2 or Imdb Movie Script (cast combined) 0.1.1.2 and Imdb Movie Script (business) 0.1.1.2 no longer work because business and combined web pages no longer exist, but are redirected to the main web page.
For combined web pages, there is a replacement, namely references web pages. Imdb Movie Script (cast combined) 0.1.1.2 may be updated for these pages, we'll see.
Imdb Movie Script (Episode list) 0.1.1.2 and Imdb Movie Script (episode list) a 0.1.1.5 I'm just testing them, they work, only some details need to be fixed. For information, to download the Episode list you can also use tvdb.dll, which downloads certain information for series with seasons and episodes in seasons. It does not transfer this information for each series, but I have not been able to find out why. A good example of this is NCIS, whose season it doesn’t transfer, but transfers for other series from the NCIS franchise.
As for the other Imdb Movie Scripts mentioned above, we'll see what can be edited. You may just need to rearrange the url code for a particular web page and the script will work.

I have many questions but, I will ask you only the basic:

Yes, IMDB_[EN][HTTPS] script working with the current IMDB layout in the MOD version.
2) Can I transfer my database to the MOD version easily?
Yes, of course you can. However, I recommend that you have the MOD version in a new folder and run in debug or portable mode. Leave the current PVD 1.0.2.7 version for the correct display and operation of certain extensions or database. You can still check the data in the database or settings in PVD 1.0.2.7 version and also transfer information using Proxomitron with scripts that work with Proxomitron such as Imdb Movie Script (Episode list) and Imdb Movie Script (episode list)a version.
So you still have the original database files, copies of which you save to a new folder in PVD 1.0.2.7 version
For security, use copies of the current database and bacup .bak files in PVD 1.0.2.7 version. These now test how they work in PVD MOD version. If all is well, you can then use these database copies in both PVD 1.0.2.7 version and PVD MOD version to transfer information. However, do not use PVD 1.0.2.7 version or PVD MOD version at the same time, but each separately, because otherwise there will be a problem using one database file in both PVD 1.0.2.7 version or PVD MOD version at the same time.

Yes, they will work if I manage to fix and update them to the new current IMDB layout.

I apologize for certain stealth bugs that I have now fixed in a previous post.
Yes you correctly found to add all the psf files you use for IMDB. This will make it easier for me to review them and see how and what can be done if I can fix them or not. However, you will be informed about what is happening in this direction with these scripts.

Put them in one folder and then compress them, for example with 7 zip and then add the compressed file to the forum. Make sure this file is no larger than 1 MB. Otherwise, make several such files that are no larger than 1 MB.

Thanks to PVD 1.0.2.7 PSF files, at least 75 percent of the scripts will be upgradeable to work with the new IMDb layout. The experiment you mentioned is currently not working, but an update will be available in a few days on the forum. For other scripts, the update will be available in a few weeks.

The experiment you mentioned is currently not working, but an update will be available in a few days on the forum. For other scripts, the update will be available in a few weeks.
At the moment, I can only test certain scripts because I am waiting for the HDD that was in my Win 7 computer (this computer stopped working for me). Only after I get this disc (most likely I will get it this or next week), only then will I be able to get to the other scripts and data on it.
Then I will also update the other IMDb scripts as soon as possible and it will be possible to update them to the new IMDb layout.

I have already managed to update some of your scripts so that they now work on the new IMDb layout. They still need to be edited as needed for proper operation and to remove some unnecessary code snippets that are not required for operation or are simply redundant.

Some scripts have already been updated to work with the new IMDb layout. Minor cosmetic corrections are needed. If you want, I can upload them to the forum earlier, because I wanted to fix all your scripts from the package you uploaded and upload them all back to the forum at once.

One question: I have 2 fields in my skin. One is standard Features, and the other is custom IMDb Tech Specs field. Until recently all specs were filled in that custom field, and now the scripts fills Features field only. How can I customize the script so it would fill custom field again (or both), because otherwise I should update ~7k movies movies which is very cumbersome... I renamed old custom field to Imdb-TechSpecs already, if that matters. Maybe it's then when the script started to fill Features field only?

You made a mistake when you renamed the old custom field to Imdb-TechSpecs. So you have this problem now. Information for Runtime, Sound Mix, Color, Aspect Ratio and nothing more is downloaded to the Imdb-TechSpecs custom box. The full TechSpecs information is transferred to the ImdbTechSpecs custom field. Rename the custom field back to the old name, it may then transfer the information correctly.
Or maybe something changed these settings in the script.

Thanks a lot Ivek. I am currently testing and customizing the script (max values mostly), but please confirm if I understood you well: it's not possible with the script to import English title to a standard Title field, it's only possible if I do it manually by copying/pasting it from AKA field to Title field?
I am asking, because I just don't know non-English movies by their original, or localized title. I know them only by their English title, and I would like to have in Tree view "%N. %T (%O)" where %T would be English title. That way I could recognize movie only by scrolling Tree view, but at the moment I have to click movie by movie to check which one that was, and that is way too slow.
For example, when I am not logged in on IMDb and I go to https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8228288/ with my country IP I see English title as main, and original title too. But, when I import it to PVD with the script, then somehow Title and original title are the same. Why can't I import it as it is in browser?

First try in Retrieve Data Config this GET ORIGINAL TITLE setting changes

Try in Function ParsePage_IMDBMovieAKA, where you have a custom English title field, you also have closed code for a normal Title field. Open this code for the normal Title field and check this field in the settings so that it overwrites you. It may work as you wish, otherwise part of the code will be arranged so that this field is overwritten.

After experimenting and in order to get in Tree view English title and Original title, as well as Localized title in a List view of my personal skin, I had to make these changes (and only this combination works for me).
Instead of:

I am writing in order to ask where stands the checking you where doing on all the files which needed modification. Have you finished them or not yet ?

I am currently testing scripts for External Sites however, the testing takes longer because I have 3500 movie titles in the test database and I check them to get the correct data transfers. It is very important that it is not necessary to correct any errors in the transmission of information later.
Since I already have known vision problems (you probably already know that), which are gradually increasing, I also need to stop with script tests so as not to strain my eyes too much, because then PVD users would be deprived of new script updates and further PVD use.

Notification:
All IMDB Movie scripts using Proxomitron no longer work.
If there is ever time, will fix them to work using Proxomitron or try to edit them to work in 1.0.2.7 MOD version in HTTPS mode.
