Thanks for the reply Ivek.
I gave up on the previous database, thinking the issue was an unlikely random occurence and i would just have to use backups in the future.
I have recently created a new database and within an hour of starting to build on it the database is now corrupt.
PVD is crashing repeatedly when i am simply accessing/updating records and two databases have been corrupted in a few hours of use time.
Are these issues known about or is this possibly a problem with my copy?
I love the software but i'm losing the motivation to continue to use it due to the recent problems i've been facing.

Hi All, sorry if this has been mentioned before i'm a little lost on this forum.
One of my databases has suddenly stopped opening. I opened it yesterday for a few seconds, changed the rating of one person, saved and closed. Now i'm unable to open it and recieve an error message (error code 3) I have no idea what's caused it, what to do about it or if everything i've added to the database is now lost. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, is there any idea when the plugin may be fixed?
i tried the script (thanks Ivek!) but unfortunately it breaks the auto creation of actors, resulting in any actor that wasn't previously in my database being created with a blank name field which (for my purposes) sadly makes it unusable.

Ah ok, glad i wasn't doing something silly. I've managed to work around it by deleting the person in question and then adding their info again (as i hadn't linked them to any movies at that point) i appreciate your reply

Hi, firstly i'd like to say i love this software and it's really helped me out when it comes to organizing and creating a database for various things.
A feature i would like to see added however is an option to sort the list of people in a database by age, rather than simply by date of birth or date of death. Unless i am missing something (in which case i apologize) it is impossible to do this currently and it's hard to get an accurate sort (or search) based on people particular age when they were still active.

I would very much appreciate this kind of feature too, as my my databases aren't used quite in the traditional way so it would really help me out! loving the software

Support / Removing Date of Death

Hi, sorry if this has been asked i've attempted a search but am new to the forums so may have been looking in the wrong place.
I added a date of death for someone but now am deciding to not bother storing any 'death dates' for the actors in my database. However when i go to delete it nothing happens. I remove the information in the field, then click on the green tick (i.e. i've finished editing) and it just reverts back to how it was.
Is this a bug or am i doing something wrong?
