Support / Read only mode

Not sure if this is a bug, but when I open the database in readonly mode I am able to edit it. 
Maybe I did something wrong. I am using 0.9.9.14.
Also, and this might be a little off topic, I would like to know (I think because I am a little bit a pain in the ass
) why the toolbar has a different color as the menu bar.
