Support / How to export a custom field?
« on: May 01, 2018, 04:24:22 pm »
Noticed that I posted my question in a topic that was solved, so it would not get much attention, silly me.

I've tried this but I don't get the field I want.

replace="#13#10<-> "
replace="#13<-> "
replace="#10<-> "
filter="CSV Files|*.csv"
%HEAD%Title;Original Title;Criterion;
%HEAD%{%value=title};{%value=origtitle};{%value=Criterion custom=true};

So Criterion is not shown in the export .csv.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong pls.

Support / PVD freezes using certain script.
« on: April 29, 2018, 04:37:17 pm »
Hoping there's a good-hearted soul in this forum who can steer me in the right direction.

I have never encountered this problem before but suddenly when I import using Imdb Movie Info Script, PVD freezes and is not responding for hours. Only thing I can do is to force PVD to exit and when I start it up again the record is there but there's nothing I can do with, not delete it or edit it, when I click on it PVD starts to be irresponsive again.

What have I done sofar.

Well obviously I looked around but could not find a satisfying answer. I use version and tried latest version, opened PVD on another computer, tried firebird tools, exported it to excel and csv to get rid of the culprit, all to no avail. All other scripts work fine.

So any advice is more than welcome, tia.

Support / Country import gone missing in IMDB Scripts.
« on: July 06, 2017, 06:51:27 pm »

Could be me but lately I noticed that the country doesn't show up anymore after importing the flick in PVD.
Do I need to change something? Please advise.

Thanks - UtNut

Support / Tech Specs
« on: January 06, 2017, 08:54:08 pm »

Hi Ivek,

First and foremost, a big thanks for all the wonderful work you have done so far and for the help of others. It must have been a time consuming effort for you, but I can read between your lines, you do enjoy the fun of it.

Just a small question if I may, I'm a sucker for tech specs and for some time the IMDB script, I'm using version in the PVD Download Manager skin, doesn't seem to work anymore. I have been looking around a bit but can't find the reason why not. So, is it me or is it simply not possible to import this information anymore. Not a big thing, not that difficult to copy and paste.
Again, just wondering.

Thanks and kind regards,

Support / IMDB Title Problems
« on: February 22, 2016, 06:16:29 pm »
If ignorant, I hide behind the fact that there are no stupid questions etcetera.

I've looked a bit around here and must admit that I'm a bit lost in this world of scripts, batches and plugins.
I am a filmbuff but love tv series too and I still am convinced that PVD is the best DB for any large or small collection of this (mine is at 4645 atm and still growing). Kudos to its maker(s) and especially to Ivek for keeping it alive. I've recently stumbled on this problem: Var Ue_t0=window.ue_t0||+new Date(); as the title of any new entry, movie or episode. For a noob like me this is seriously frightening. I did try every new script recently posted on this forum but to no avail. It seems not such  big problem for me because it looks like it is importing all other info correctly, so if I just uncheck title in the script and put that in manually my problem should be solved?
But if some good soul would explain to me if or what I'm doing wrong it would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Support / PVD DB Completely Corrupted
« on: September 10, 2014, 05:55:51 pm »
This is not actually asking for support but a sign of appreciation of how well this database works even in dire straits. 1st I couldn't make a backup then slowly my PVD started to get corrupted more and more until I couldn't load the data anymore, more than 18 months of scrutinized work down the drain (more than 3,000 entries)...So I started to research the if and how things. There are few posts in here that point to a set of Firebird tools but as a complete noob I soon realized there was quite a bit of work for me to do. This page was very helpful:
After meticulously following its instruction my PVD is now complete and healthy again and I just came back from being over the moon to share this. So all in all, if your PVD gets hopelessly corrupted, men forbid, have no fear, if I can fix it, you most certainly can as well.

Support / Backup Stopped Working
« on: August 31, 2014, 08:13:35 am »
Using recently migrated to a Win7 machine.
I'm a great fan of backups but whilst everything else seems to work fine I'm getting an error code 13 trying to make a backup. See attached jpg. I have tried to look up what could cause it but couldn't find the answer.
There's an old post by nostra,1914.msg9409.html#msg9409 giving a link to a topic for it but the link is not accessible to me.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Tia for your advice.

Support / Also Known As IMDB 09.8.18

It suddenly stopped to import all aka's from the IMDB, now just one in a random language eg Spanish, Dutch, German etc.
To have all aka's imported is particularly useful if one has a lot of foreign titles like "Bom yeoreum gaeul gyeoul geurigo bom" now only aka'd as "Primavera, verano, otoño, invierno... y otra vez primavera" Given that it will polish up my knowledge of a variety of languages, I really hope to be able to import all aka's again.
Is this possible, please?

Thanx - UtNut

Support / Undefined Times Two
« on: May 13, 2013, 05:52:32 pm »
First and foremost, PVD comes closest to what I've been looking for, collecting films for many years. So many thanks for that.

There's just one very small thing which has been nagging me, and I've looked but not found the answer yet. I'm using with the latest plugins and the Download Manager skin. I'm also using release: in the detail screen of this skin when it concerns a box set or more than one movie on a particular media disk, this works fine for me. But when I go to group by release it shows two undefined groups, I recently found out that if I accidently pasted something into release: it automatically goes to Undefined group 2, so to speak, while the bulk, where the release field is empty like in Undefined group 2, resides in group 1. Whatever I've tried I can't get group 2 back to group 1 where they belong?

Far from a huge problem really, just an issue that's been bugging me for a while.

Example: 12 Angry Men in undefined group 1, pasted in Release: XXX, now grouped as XXX, removed XXX, now grouped as Undefined group 2...

Hoping I'm living up to the general consensus that there are no dumb questions...
