Hey,

I had to move files from drive to drive. These caused a change of drive letter for several files, which are entries in my pvd db. I am able to filter on the concerned entries, but now I need a tool in order to update the first letter only of the "file path" column information. I could not find any method on doing that so far. Can somebody give me a hint?

Describing be a little more precise in this case and will then be easier to answer.
All posters imported via Imdb Movie Photo script are having the same size, which is 214x317 px. I guess it is not a coincidence, but is coded or set up somewhere. I could not find any settings in the graphical interface in order to adjust the mentioned picture size, so my next guess would be setting it up in script. Where can I find such a setting?

Thank you for the scripts. One question though - is there a way to set up the poster size used in your Imdb Movie Photo script?

Restarting PVD, logging to imdb from within all the browsers you use, updating PVD and its scripts and plugins, setting imdb plugin for overwriting corespondent fields. Those are pretty much all ideas I could try to contribute with... Sorry  :-\
I doubt browsers have something to do with PVD. PVD is also up to date. There are no fields to overwrite as they are empty at the moment I do the import.

My actual question is: what triggers the language selection of connections import for IMDb plugin?

Of course, in addition, you should try to set up your imdb plugin to log on to imdb via your account information.
It already is. It hast to be something else.

Login to https://secure.imdb.com/register-imdb/siteprefs and set "Title display country" to Original, and "Title display language" to English. Just in case, use your default browser for this.
I already tried this, unfortunately it didn't help at all.

Hi there,

I'm using PVD 0.9.9.21, Windows 7 x64.

While organizing my movies I am giving all entries their original title as the title field. The problem I have due to that is, that IMDb PlugIn imports movie connections based on my environment (maybe IP or something else) which is set to German.

How can I manipulate that behaviour and force the import PlugIn to download connections with their original title?

Example:
Original Title:
The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King (which is the title in my PVD entry)

Imported Movie Connection Title as I import The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers connections:
Der Herr der Ringe - Die Rückkehr des Königs (obviously not what I want to be imported as it is the movie's German A.K.A.)

Support / SQL statement (moving field contents)
« on: January 13, 2012, 09:43:33 pm »
Hi everybody,

I want to do following:

Take the information of movies field A and move it to the custom field B for every single movie I have in my database.

What I am thinking of is writing a short SQL like following:

UPDATE customfields_table C SET C.mycustomfield=(SELECT M.release FROM movies M);

The question is how to find out the right column and table names of the custom field (marked red)? Or is there an out-fo-the-box way to do what I am attempting to?

Usually I run the PVD in maximized mode. My screen resolution is 1280x720. I tried the normal window mode (not maximized), but the issue still occurs. If I switch it to 1920x1080, the problem seems to come faster than at a lower resloution, so you might be right about the size problem.

Attached to this post you'll find a screenshot of working tabbed skin.

I wish it would do so, but it's not. It even happens with really old entries, I had no problems with for the last months.

After some testing I realised that something similar is happening with the beta version of 1.. I am using the tabbed Classic skin and the Main tab becomes empty (see screenshot: it shows totally nothing, no images, no rating, no text at all), but the File tab is still looking ok. And I can still switch between the entries, which caused a crash with the stable 0.9 version. Same issue with Classic Tab Remix skin.

What I found out by now, is that the same database works fine with the PVD Classic skin with no tabs, which is sad, because I got used to the tabbed version other the past 2 years.

Support / Bug Report: complete crash while switching between entries

Hi everyone,

I used PVD for more than 2 years by now. It's the first time I am having a major problem and just can't handle it by myself.

After changing between 3 or 4 different database entries, the PVD just stops reacting at all and I have to restart it. I added the bugreport as an attachment to this post and hope somebody could help me out fixing this problem.

I reinstalled the program, which didn't help at all. The Beta Version of PVD 1 seems to work fine with the same database though.
