Support / Re: Personal Video Database MOD

Hey guys. Thanks for everything. There are a couple of things I couldn't work out.
I can't get all the tags from a movie. The IMDB[EN] script only downloads 4-5 ( PVD calls them Tags but IMDB calls them Plot Keywords).

The other problem is with Series. How do I do make series appear as seasons and episodes? When I use IMDB[EN] I only get a main page and not the episodes and I don't know how to add any.
Also it seems it doesn't import Directors, producers, writers or composers.

Thanks for all your work!

Hi guys! Thanks for keeping the dream alive!
I noticed a difference with my olf file made with the old PVD:
The list of TAGS now appears as CATEGORY, and they are included in different lists.
Also I can't seem to update the "awards" section on the people database.
Also also, I used to add manually the "Duration" of the film, now it loads automatically, but it's in the "Features" section.

These are all minor details. The software is functional now  :) :) :)

Oh I noticed something else, It would seem like TheMovieDB doesn't upload the "complete" cast. Just the main characters

What do you use when an error occurs? Imdb plugin or script.

I use the plug in, from the import menu. I don't know how to run a script

Thanks for your hard work Ivek!
I still can''t make it work. When I try the IMDB [EN] I get the error message:   HTTP/1.1 400 Host Not Found

There are a lot of problems with the IMDB script, so I've ben half using it with the help of the cast2 and plotkeywords scripts, and inputing some info by hand. Is there a better database or plug in you can use?? What do you guys use??

Hi. sorry for the delay. I was offline for a while. I'm back now, and I tried the IMDB Movie (cast-series)2 and IMDB Movie (cast-episode)2 scripts. It seems to me that it loads the correct information for the episodes individually, but it doesn't seem to write anything in the main series section. Maybe I'm doing it wrong? I tried selecting overwrite all in the plug ins options, but I can't import the actors info

Thanks Ivek! I've been trying the scripts, as explained in the main post. It downloads the  seasons and episodes and all the main data, but it doesn't download the full cast list. I tried with older cast scripts, but with no luck, and when using imdb Movie Script(cast)2 the program crashes

ok no problem! I tried the (plot keywords) script and it works every time  :D

I've noticed one more thing though. I can't import series with the IMDB[EN] plugin. It imports some info, but not seasons/episodes

I'm trying the IMDB Movie (taglines) script, but it doesn't seem to work for me. I put Overwrite all fields in Preferences/Plugins, and I tried blanking the Tags list before running the script, but it doesn't import any tag

Support / Problems with All Tags and Title
« on: April 23, 2016, 01:07:50 am »
Hi! I've got a couple problems. First one is I can't get all the Tags when Importing data. I use IMDB [EN] script as default, and I know there is a check box for "Download all tags" in configuration, but that doesn't change a thing. I always get 4-5 tags only.
I had a similar problem with actors, but I solve that running Imdb Movie Script(cast)2

The other problem is the Title. When I use the IMDB [EN] script the Title and Original Title look like this
Var Ue_t0=window.ue_t0||+new Date();

Is there anything we can do?

I want to take the chance to thank you too. I've been using it for many years too. Just as a hobbie, I add every movie I watch. I also tried other simlar software, but no other was up to the task. This has to be the best.
My first movie Date Added: 09/09/2008
Movies in database: 760
People in database: 46
Personal Video Database File 463 Mb

ok, I noticed something. I guess is like a "minor detail" and it happens randomly. I can't really tell by which means, but it seems that, when I add an actor to the People section, his (or her) role in those series imported with Imdb Movie Script(cast-series) appears with a big chunk of blank spaces "                                            "
So, for example, Alfred Hitchcock in Alfred Hitcock Presents says "                                            Himself - Host (268 episodes 1955-1962)"
You can edit it. The detail is merely aestetic. It doesn't appear to be information lost

Thank you very much Ivek! I got the new update, and it seems to be working! If I notice anything off I'll post it :)

The script Imdb Movie Script (cast) is working just fine for movies, but I don't think it's working for series.
In the main window for the series, it won't import actors. It can import actors for each episode though. The problem with this is that in the People section, actors won't be credited for appearing in these shows. Do you think there is a way around it?

Ivek, I gotta tell you. I haven't used a "batch file" because I "dont know" what that "is", but I've been using the script and now I noticed something bad that wasn't at first sight. The actors are imported, but they are saved with some occasional double comas ", ," beetween actor and actor, Now if I click an actor to add it to the actors data base, random things happen, like it adds a blank name actor, or adds info on some other actor (the one with his name right next to it, for example) What do you think?

It DOES work. I have to run it first, and then run the other IMDB script to get everything else. It's kind of a turn down that you have to import twice, but it works perfectly. And thanks again for your help. I'll give it FIVE smiley faces!    :) :) :) :) :)
