Support / Linking to a local folder/files?

Can anyone tell me whether there's a simple way to embed a hyperlink in one of the displayed fields, so I can click on this and open a related file or folder of files on my hard drive?

Support / Relative File Paths for movies.

I know this question has been asked in one way or another before, but I just want to be clear before restructuring some disks, folders etc.

Movies stored on removable drives may obviously have different paths (ie drive letters) depending on which USB drives are plugged in, the order they're plugged, and which laptop/PC I might be running PVD on.  A file path beginning 'F:\video\...' might appear as 'G:\video\...' when plugged into another machine.

How to I ensure PVD can always find the films to play etc, or do I have to manually search for & replace drive letters as I move between different PCs?

Support / Can't get Excel import to work at all - any ideas?

OK, this is probably some thing stupid, but I just can't get Excel import to work. 

I've read the help file guide, configured PVD via Preference\Plugins\MS Excel general import\ to read 'Path, Actors' and created an Excel sheet with data to add as Path then Actors.  I've tried with & without headings in Excel.  I've tried substituting ID for path.  Every time, I see a message down low saying ' Excel Importing records, please wait' but I get no dialogue re update/merge etc, and I find nothing has changed in PVD despite there being data to update.

Any ideas?

Support / Can user-defined star ratings be exported?

Is there a way to export the user defined star rating alongside other data?  I know that I can filter the database view down by star rating, one rating at a time, and then export each sub view, but is there a way to create a single export with, say, filename, file size & user star rating?

Support / Specifying a networked video file location/replacing existing locations with it.

I don't remember if this is a new feature which became supported somewhere along the line of PVD releases, but I've just noticed that PVD appears to allow to browsing to/specification of networked locations for stored video files.  A quick test suggests it works both locally and from a remote laptop.  Addresses seem to subscribe to the format '\\(PC name)\(Shared Drive Letter)\(Path)\Filename.wmv'.

Assuming this is as it appears to be, and now means that copies of PVD on my laptop etc will successfully find & play films stored on a shared drive on my desktop by clicking PVD's play button, is there any simple way to replace all previous references to the local PC drive with a shared/networked one?

Support / Any practical limit on PVD database size?

I'm very impressed with PVD, so impressed in fact that my database file is now 600Mb in size, mostly due to screenshots saved within it. 

It will no doubt keep growing too.  Is there any point (by way of number of movies, or filesize) at which I should start to fear problems of any kind with it?  And yes, I do keep a backup copy.  :)
