Imdb.com[EN][HTTPS]_Search script attached.

Executing the script causes the error on my side

Here I need the title and url link of the movie so I can check what's wrong.

Hello Ivek. It's the same with any existing entry that doesn't have imdb url (logically, yet to be searched for the title to get it's url).

For example, https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0072962/

It's the same for_adv.psf script

Yes, maybe this will help you. If any field was left blank as in this example, it will not be visible.

Thanks, but I wasn't clear. My goal is something else.

As you know(?), at the moment IMDb script doesn't import IMDb reviews/user comments.

Instead, the script fills in the field with:
Code: [Select]
fbml"><head><meta charSet="utf-8"/><meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width"/><script>if(typeof uet === 'function'){ uet('bb', 'LoadTitle', {wb: 1}); }</script><script>window.addEventListen

I want to avoid this and to be able to set importing for this/custom field to be "Do nothing" or "Set if empty", like for the default fields in the screenshot.

Is that possible?

Scripts and Templates / Re: Use BING as default search result

I think we would test others search engine like duckduckgo.com.

I always wondered why it has to be Bing, actually, but assumed it was some "axiom".

Thanks Ivek. Any feedback on my question?

Hello Ivek. Is there a way to "Set If Empty" custom field, in a way it is possible with the settings of regular fields? Namely, I'd like to set <custom field="IMDb User Comments" collapsedlines="4"/> this way if it's empty.

Yes, this is a well-known issue and a problem with scripts (which cannot be fixed) that are made for PVD MOD versions of the programs. Here it takes longer because the curl program downloads each web page individually in its entirety (for example, first the search results, then the basic pages of a particular movie, then the pages with actors and so on). The more pages there are, the longer it takes to download all the information. For the AllMovie websites, it might be possible to make a special script for the Actors or Review pages, in which case the information transfer would be a little faster.

Thank you immensely for your time Ivek. If I'm asked, I think it's not worthy to invest time in making the script what, 2 secs faster?

We are grateful for whatever makes PVD working one way or another. As I said. I will use PVD even when no script would work.

Here is the new AllMovie.com HTTPS script beta for PVD MOD versions. It works the same way as IMDB_[EN][HTTPS] script for PVD MOD versions.

I can confirm that it works as intended and without Proxo. Thank you so much.

I must say though that I miss how fast previous script was since now the new one is significantly slower, especially considering pop up windows stealing focus now with this script as well as IMDb script does. I just used all scripts via Proxo as a .batch plugin (AM, FA & IMDb).

I'll probably try to experiment with Synopsis piece of code trying to implement it into old one if it's even possible...

Thank you Ivek, thousand times!

I have recently decide anyway to use PVD in the future regardless of the scripts state. It's basic functionality to at least record file entries will stay unbroken

Thank you for your hope in this project!

I hope Nostra will be heard, and I hope this will happen soon.
This project has a very good chance to grow.
Well, at the moment all that is left of the PVD users is one Global Moderator, one Moderator, one Administrator and one User (15 years of experience using PVD).  :'( :'( :'(

Well, 14 years here. But I doubt it's all that is left:

Hello. This could be the place to report issues regarding using forum.

We all know that beside Ivek, probably no one else can post to any other forum than to "Talk" and "Other".

The other issue I'm experiencing at the moment is that the links to the scripts aren't visible. to me at least.

For example, there's no link in this post, or anywhere else for new AllMovie:

Well I have to give the opportunity to participate, but if it is as you say, then it will be just me and Ivek doing the scripts...  8)

I'd take that "just" as "just enough"! :)

Thanks for the welcome afrocuban!

I think Ivek is already working on it on IMDb.

You're welcome. I am not aware Ivek would work on it. The last I read from him here was

So there won't be any new IMDB_[EN][HTTPS] script updates anymore because it is no longer possible to download many full downloads of information. The new Imdb website design does not allow this anymore.

Unless this means he'll completely rewrite new one...

It looks so far that no one except Ivek (and you?) can do scripting at all...

Hi guys and ladies,

Let me introduce myself, I am a 32-year-old Italian sysadmin.
I like to eat pizza and pasta (strange, huh?) and to be at the PC (yes, I'm damned).

I was lucky enough to know this project years ago, but only a few days ago I was able to join it (thanks to Ivek).

As much as I can, I will try to lend a hand to keep PVD going.

Thank you for your attention,
your friendly NetworkShark

Welcome NetworkShark and thank you immensely for your offer. It would be great if we could preserve PVD and maintain somehow at least IMDb script!

I use EMDB or another program from time to time for testing, if a favorable solution might be found, so that I could then possibly update all possible IMDB movies scripts for all other PVD users as well.
And I guess, still no other can compare with PVD? Do you think offline cataloguers are dead in general? I mean, I guess I'd transfer all my movies to IMDb tomorrow if such export would be possible... That way, you'd have your movies with you all the time...
