Support / Re: IMDB Full Credits Import
« on: July 29, 2014, 01:47:45 pm »
Thx a bunch for ur info, but it's weird....

I tried to get this http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2726822/fullcredits after I exactly copied ur settings. Perfect, all credits were there. Then I tried another one, not working. Tried again n again n again etcetera, still no show. Only actors no other credits...Went back to the one that worked to check it again, now this one failed as well, same as the 2nd one....Gave up after 10 times... I even doubled ur time out settings. I'm using the 0.9.8.25 IMDB plugin, which I checked is the latest.

Much obliged if u or anyone else could shine a light on this.

Thx again, and my word if ur id # is right u have a massive collection....

Hi,

I'm trying to import this IMDB page into PVD 09.9.21

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2726822/fullcredits

I'm using the PVD Download Manager Skin

Could somebody please steer me in to the right direction, or is it not all possible?

TIA

Thanks, and all the more reasons to upgrade to v1, which I did and found that mediainfo latest version is not that much more accurate as I expected (v0.7.69.dll), whilst the earlier version in .09.9.21 imported just the location of the DVD, I now get all ifo's and vobs listed :-(. Although it's easy to remove with mass editor. One day I hope we will be able to search for cast and crew in episodes, than most certainly this will be the best free VideoDB the world has ever known ;D

Another thing I would like to ask, if it's possible to switch off duration in file scanning, it's 50% inaccurate and I'm migrating from a db that contains all the accurate durations already, so it would be great to import that from an excel sheet not to have the exact durations overwritten whilst scanning files.

Cheers,

UtNut

Thanks, but no improvement there. Just acts the same as the latest version of MediaInfo (0.7.69) ... Guess it needs a tad more fiddling..

Hi,

Currently still using 0.9.9.21

Is there a way to update the MediaInfo.dll in PVD, I have tried to replace it with the one that I found in the latest version of MediaInfo (0.7.69) but it no work....The one in the PVD folder is from 2010. I find the latest version more accurate in scanning files...

Thanks.

Yes, and the weirdest thing is that if I manually add an episode, the main title gets the + sign as usual after F5 refresh, but disappears clicking on it, the episode has not been added at all. Pls help.

I'm still using 0.9.9.21, as of today I found out images stopped being imported from the IMDB (using 0.9.8.22)?

Scripts for "AKAs", "Technical Specs" Imdb individual pages are ready. I need a few more days (maybe by the end of the week) to be tested for proper operation.
Scripts for individual Imdb page will be published and then attached to the topic: IMDB Movie Script for Additional Information.

There is also a Imdb Additional Movie Information Script, which is also necessary for it to be repaired.

Fingers crossed....

Thx Ivek

Maximum loan period cannot be changed. But now that I think of it, the loan period doesn't really 'do' anything anyway. It just appears in the loan manager history list, which doesn't provide any means for selecting items due or overdue or on cloud storage about to expire.

I see now, thought it would be dynamic counting the days off so to speak, but it just remains on the days entered.

If it's a matter of using free space offered by XYZ Cloud Storage for 3 years (e.g., a trial period), then loan the movies stored there to the borrower 'XYZ exp 2016-07'. You'll be able to make a list of those at any time with a simple search.

I've never heard of such a thing, but if it's free storage for a specific file for a fixed term, it would be better to record and track the expiry date in a custom field.

Yes, I already started to do that in the beginning, but thought Loans Manager might be useful, you could also consider a "dynamic" excel sheet, but I like all info in the best place; PVD 8)

Thanks for your help rick, really appreciated...

It could be my sloppy but friendly next door neighbour who never returns something unless he's given more time....But no, to satisfy your curiosity, it has to do with "free" storage in the cloud - a 3 year period - which entails a bit of administration and less space needed on my (e)hdd's. I looked around and at config files but could not find where to change this to, in this case, 1095 days, if it is at all possible.

I would like to use the loans manager for something else, is it therefore possible to extend the 365 days limitation?
Tia for your advice.

As I was typing my previous message suddenly the penny dropped,  wanting to be sure to import exactly the right movie from IMDB, I take the precaution to paste in their url before importing. At the last two I made the mistake to paste in /combined at the end as per my settings at my IMDB account.
Sorry nostra  :-[

56

Using 0.9.8.18, as far as I can see that is the latest.
Weird thing is that whilst importing it shows the "/combined" url again of IMDB, thought that was a problem we had in the past...

This "socket error # 11001" came back today and is haunting me...
I dearly hope it can be fixed again.
Thx a million for your efforts..

@Ivek23
Thanx, for the time being I'm happy to paste in the aka's manually as this program rocks beyond others....

It suddenly stopped to import all aka's from the IMDB, now just one in a random language eg Spanish, Dutch, German etc.
To have all aka's imported is particularly useful if one has a lot of foreign titles like "Bom yeoreum gaeul gyeoul geurigo bom" now only aka'd as "Primavera, verano, otoño, invierno... y otra vez primavera" Given that it will polish up my knowledge of a variety of languages, I really hope to be able to import all aka's again.
Is this possible, please?

Thanx - UtNut
