Support / Re: People view problem

Could not find if this is resolved yet.
I've tried to View - Group by - Date added in Movies getting:

InitChildren
conversion error from string "31-05-2013" Overflow occurred during data type conversion. Error Code 14.

Trying to open the + sign at the set date (all dates don't work)
If it would work, it's a handy tool if you're migrating 1000's of movies as in my case. I'm currently using 9.9.21 on XP Pro SP3. Do I need to upgrade to 1.xx or change my regional settings for date format?

Thanks,

It is a little bug in the program itself. I will make sure to fix it in future releases. The problem is that the database engine differentiates between "undefined" (NULL) and "empty value".

......Is the answer I was hoping for...

Appreciated...

First and foremost, PVD comes closest to what I've been looking for, collecting films for many years. So many thanks for that.

There's just one very small thing which has been nagging me, and I've looked but not found the answer yet. I'm using 0.9.9.21 with the latest plugins and the Download Manager skin. I'm also using release: in the detail screen of this skin when it concerns a box set or more than one movie on a particular media disk, this works fine for me. But when I go to group by release it shows two undefined groups, I recently found out that if I accidently pasted something into release: it automatically goes to Undefined group 2, so to speak, while the bulk, where the release field is empty like in Undefined group 2, resides in group 1. Whatever I've tried I can't get group 2 back to group 1 where they belong?

Far from a huge problem really, just an issue that's been bugging me for a while.

Example: 12 Angry Men in undefined group 1, pasted in Release: XXX, now grouped as XXX, removed XXX, now grouped as Undefined group 2...

Hoping I'm living up to the general consensus that there are no dumb questions...

Thanks

Support / Re: IMDB Plugin 0.9.8.13 problem

Tested the above movie using Dave C.'s PVD Download Manager skin, all relevant details were imported from the IMDB site, including summary, details, all credits, release info and even votes. This is weird.
Before import I normally put in the IMDB url as well, just to make sure it picks the correct movie, but in this case I just pasted the original title in and picked the first (2011) option, worked as said.

Odd, for what it's worth, everything works fine with imdb plugin 0.9.8.13 at my end, except for episodes w/o a poster, but turning images off solves that problem. Me thinks it must be the config.

Something must have changed at IMDB, next to Studio all tags are coming in as :
<span class="itemprop" itemprop="keywords">Hospital</span>   <span class="itemprop" itemprop="keywords">China</span>
<span class="itemprop" itemprop="keywords">Cancer</span>   <span class="itemprop" itemprop="keywords">Village</span>
<span class="itemprop" itemprop="keywords">Japanese</span>

Sorry, my bad, I meant http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118421, if that's what you mean. It's just my account at IMDB that's showing the /combined business.

Found it! It's to do with images. If you turn download images off in the IMDB2 plugin it'll work like sunshine for all episodes, individually or by season. If you turn it on there most be an image for each and every episode or the whole show is no go. I stumbled on it importing this http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118421/combined, where the first 5 seasons all have episode images but not the last 6th episode. In my most humble opinion I think there's a minor error in the plugin, but negligible to me as I don't want images for each individual episode anyway.
I praise the person who put this all together, it makes collecting films fun again for a film fanatic.

BTW, Thx for your support so far.

I'm using 9.8.11.

I discovered that I can fetch the info for all the episodes in a single season by highlighting the titles and hitting "import".  This makes things quite a bit easier but user interaction is still required for titles that aren't an exact match with IMDB.

That's odd, I'm using the same plugin 9.8.11 with version 0.9.9.21 and whatever I do - all episodes in one season or one individual season at the time - I still get the dreaded 404 not found message. Anything else you think I should be looking at?

Cool!  I've been using PVD for a couple of years now and I never realized extra information could be downloaded for individual episodes.  I just tried it and it works fine!  Now I have plenty of work ahead of me to update episodes on everything I have.  Sheeesh.  Is there a way to automate the process

Doesn't work for me anymore, are you using plugin imdb.dll v.0.9.8.9 or some other script to get the extra info?

I get all episodes including summaries, specific episode url's and release dates at the main import, but when I want to import the episodes specifically it used to give me credits and posters as well, now it says "404 Not Found". Am I doing something wrong?

This works in the old script as well

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0101700/fullcredits

to get music and production credits

But I can't get the new IMDB scripts to work at all. Being pretty new to this, do I need to do more than just replacing the old batch/scipt with the new ones at the appropiate places in the folder Personal Video Database 0.9.9.21\?

Thanks,
