You could try "The renamer"
http://www.therenamer.com/

But then PVD looses all connections to the files!?

Feature Suggestions / Re: Function RenameFile in script
« on: April 22, 2014, 03:53:44 pm »
This feature has already been added to version 1. It's done by the program itself—no script is required.

Ho can I do that exactly? I want to rename all folders/files so they reflect the database.

Thx for your help :)

Another observation: after moving one movie to a new path and letting PVD discover that, I get the same error now on this movie too

Baraka http://www.imdb.com/media/rm1592627712/tt0103767

Which had no problem before I moved it!

« on: December 29, 2013, 12:02:22 pm »
So I have populated all my movies now with IMDB stuff and can see all the actors and so on.
But in People View I only see one actor: Victor Mature

What have I done wrong :)?

Scripts and Templates / Re: Export to XBMC
« on: December 29, 2013, 11:44:09 am »
I appreciate all your work and attempts to explain to us how this is working. Still: I have no idea.

Is there any possibility you could zip a configured "template" and how to use it, just to be able to use PVD as "brain" and XBMC as frontend? I am completely confused at this point how I would do that...which is my fault, since I just can't get what I have to extract out of these postings to make it work.

Thx alot if anyone takes the time to walk me through this :)

I am using pvd_portable.

Me too. Is there any difference in the portable on installed version?

Thx for letting me know :)

I do not store screenshot, that seems to be a big difference.

When you search for new/changed movies, the file path is changed, but not the file information.
This leads to confusion when you sort movies by resolution to find low-res movies you may want to update to HD.

May I ask how many movies you manage with PVD?

My DB is 56MB (!!) and I manage about 550 movies. That's 114 (8-hour) days to watch movies. Every year I add the best 15-20 movies and that's it. But how can you get t 10GB DB files? Do you store huge amounts of screenshots?

Just curious if I really understand how PVD works and if I can use more of it's potential.

Nobody knows how it is done or it can't be done with PVD?

« on: December 26, 2013, 10:31:07 am »
The bug is, that it shows every update, after I have installed it.
Again, this is not a bug.
Reason:
There is no upload like the other plug-ins, so always occurs in updates.
I do not see why this is not a bug?

See the download page.
Again, carefully read this topic:
DMM script (JAV movies)
Character encoding for script.

Please do not be offended, but  see no reason after reading these topics why the plugin is offered again and again when I search for updates.

When I check for updates the same plugin shows again and again

Plugin (Movie Information)
dmm.co.jp
Japanese
1.0

Why this is not a bug, look a detailed description of the DMM script (JAV movies) and Character encoding for script.

The bug is, that it shows every update, after I have installed it.

PS: all of these movies work wit the new "AllMovie" Plugin, so it's not the naming of the Movies
But it's not an alternative, since this plugin creates double entries (with no file associated) for all movies I use it for :(

It's very strange.
After I mounted some bogus to Y: the scanner found about 90% of the files and changed the path

BUT it did not find all of them. Any way to debug this for me?

You can't open the backed up database, use the "restore" function instead.

Shame on me....thx for pointing this out!
