Great. We now have three (including allmovie at web.archive.com) sites with the same information. ::)

I tested a sample of my AllRovi URL's and they all still go to AllRovi. So hopefully 10 Things I Hate About You being redirected to this new site is just an exception. :-\

OIC. Yes, I doubt an integrated solution is feasible. As for adding an 'All Movies' genre, forget about adding to PVD where it serves no purpose. Just revise the export template to add it...

Change <genre>{%value=genre}</genre>
to <genre>All Movies, {%value=genre}</genre>
or <genre>{%value=genre}, All</genre>.

It's unfortunate you're required to transfer the data via XML. If he knew how, it would be simple matter for the Roksbox developer to access the PVD database directly and extract the desired data. With such integration, it would monitor the database for changes and update Roksbox automatically. Search for "PvdImport" to see how this has been done for JRiver Media Center.

I do use the Video Subcategories for TV series such as [TV \Series \Season 1] ect.. It works quite well.

I'm still curious how Video Subcategories work. If you were to select [TV\Some series], would it not display all seasons for that series? If so, you could use [Movies\Genre] and select the root category (i.e., [Movies]) to view all movies.

It seems odd Roksbox is incapable of displaying all movies. Maybe that's something you should be asking them about. In the context of PVD, adding an additional genre to those downloaded is a rather unusual requirement and therefore unlikely to be accommodated. If adding an 'All' value to Genre for all movies is the only solution, you could do so by exporting Genre to Excel, adding 'All' to the existing values, then re-importing.

Are you sure you shouldn't be using Multilevel Video Subcategories in Roksbox? If those allow you to select items at any level, then an easier solution might be an XML export which creates something like Movies/[Genre]—so you can select 'Movies' to get all movies.

Oh, and I've already used some of my customfields - is that the reason?

I believe so. If any custom fields are defined explicitly, customsection cannot be used to handle the rest.

I was wondering if there is any way to have a Genre added to a movie when it is imported.

I don't think so. For what purpose?

Select 'Download image' in the plugin configuration and set the overwrite option for 'Poster'.

I would like to know if there is some way to change the default image path when exporting with XML (movies).

Change the value of imagepath in the template, or change the folder the export is saved to when run.

Guess I will have to wait until someone "fix" it for zcolor skin.

The original author may have preferred not to stretch images. If you do, change <poster autosize="true"/> to <poster autosize="true" stretch="true"/>.

I am complete lost now.

If you can't follow directions or have the good sense not to insult those giving them, maybe that's where you belong. ::)

I didn't forget about that. Will be addressed soon...

Thanks. No rush. I'm more interested in understanding the method of skipping empty fields, so I can make modifications as the need arises.

What I do not get: it found the database wihtout asking me. The database resides outside of the application folder. How is this possible?

Did you start it with the portable.bat file provided, or by other means use the -portable command line switch? If so, it should have created a new pvdconfig.ini and empty database in the installation folder.

If you put a "www" in front of the URL it works ...

Now that's interesting. Maybe the fix is an easy one. :-\

I don't quite understand. How is it the character may be percent encoded, but IMDb is absolutely correct in not handling it? Regardless, it seems you're confirming what I suspected—special characters in the query section should not be percent encoded. And I guess that should apply to any source, not just IMDb (although I don't know if we have the same problem with any other plugins).

Support / Re: How do you add a season of dvd's

Welcome to the forum.

Starting from scratch, there are different ways such a thing can be done. I'll assume you've already added the series and it's episodes to your database using an import plugin (e.g., IMDb,  TVDb). If your DVD has been ripped so each episode is in a separate file, the next step is to associate those files with they're respective episode records. Just so you know, that can be done manually—by entering the [File Path] for each. But the easier way is to use Tools > Scan folders... to do the same thing automatically. For that to work, your files have to be named according to some consistent pattern that includes the series name, season and episode number (e.g., Series title S01 E01.mkv). Then your configuration (at Preferences > File Scanner) must include a Regular Expression that matches that pattern (e.g., (?i)^.*\\(?P<title>.*)(s|\b)(?P<season>[0-9]{1,2}) ?e(?P<episode>[0-9]{2,3})). I don't expect you to understand the latter, but have a look and try to determine if that's the problem. Also, let us know what file name pattern you're using.

Welcome to the forum.

The IMDb plugin is updated from time-to-time as changes are made to the IMDb site. To ensure you get these updates, the option should be checked at Preferences > Internet Connection > Online Updates. Use the Check Now button (also available on the Help menu) to see if you need an update.
