Duplicate in the tab "movie" menu..
« on: June 06, 2009, 05:51:12 pm »
I used the duplicate in the tab "movie".
I sort my movies as "ID"' , so he start on the left side with, (in my case).
aliens                    1. aliens ................ (right side above the picture)
titanic                   2. titanic................ (right side above the picture)
road to perdition      3. road to perdition.. (right side above the picture)
etc
etc
because i used the duplicate option,(i think to remove the duplicate movies )
he skipped nr.16 and nr.27
so 10,11,12,13,14,15,17.18.....missing 16
also 24.25.26.28.29...............missing  27

so what can i do about this ( i use 09910 )

I tried something,i add a new(+) entree for a movie, and fill in the missing nr.
I this case nr.16.
And add a new movie
so the numbers are now correct...13,14,15,16,17,18......

(sorry for my bad english). ;D

Welcome, ronkas.

A few comments...

Duplicate creates an exact copy of the selected movie. This might be useful in a situation where you need to create a new movie that is similar to an existing movie.

ID is intended as an indexing field, and can be used in a number of different ways. I do not know what it means to you, or why it matters that a number is "missing." I hope you understand Tools - Reindex movies will reindex the ID field. This may be useful to you, unless the numbers have a special meaning for you. In that case, you will need to be very careful NOT to use this command.

The database uses it's own "MID" for indexing movies. "ID" is just for the amusement of the user, and is otherwise unnecessary. ;)

You can delete ID using Multiple Movies Editor. Select all movies, select Edit, and the Multiple Movies Editor window will appear. Check ID and leave the value field empty. Press OK, and they will be deleted.
