line feeds inserted after each file name
« on: November 03, 2010, 04:50:28 am »
when a movie consists of multiple file paths (such as a DVD), it would be much better, IMO, to insert a line feed after each file path instead of displaying everything on one line.   it is very difficult to decipher the paths the way it is.

+1. But this is probably not an easy change, as it likely requires a change to the field type.

My preference, too, would be that they're saved in a memo field, delimited by lines. It would then be easy to edit multiple pathnames, and it could be displayed collapsed. This is important for me because I save three different types of files—a trailer, the movie (which is sometimes multiple parts) and a "log" file (for passing the date viewed to my media manager). After the initial adding of a movie and trailer, the scanner can't handle this—so I have to record any changes (e.g., adding a log file) manually. I expect that will be fixed at some point, but it would still be nice if the field were more edit-friendly.
