Search form in Export template?
« on: November 25, 2010, 03:33:53 pm »
I wonder if there is any usable code to add into the export template for searching the database from the published website?

I have already done some modifications to the original template, but I do not know how to make a search form work against the database?
The webserver and the database is on the same internal network but not on the same server.

Is this doable in any way?

I'm sure it's doable, but it's beyond the scope and purpose of an export template. You would have to establish a connection to the database, and then run queries to to get data. If a webpage could do that, there would be no need for creating one from an export. Or am I not understanding what you're trying to achieve?
