Nostra,

"... I would like to kindly ask you something. Please give PVD chance to survive. Give the code to community, or whatever is most suitable for you. Definitely there is no software out there that is more funcional than your phenomenal PVD.

Gratefuly,
Afrocuban

You may get an answer, but do not expect too much.

I am Nostra sent several e-mail messages to several mail addresses and so far I have not received any response from Nostra.

I also agree with this request to do something with the program and not to let it die, please make public the source code on Github(thus giving the users the opportunity to maintain the code) or turn it into a paid version with continued support(personally, I would gladly pay to buy this software). I'm grateful for the time in which I could use this software until now and I want to thanks again to the developer for this, but it would be a pity to lose all the work done so far and all users to have to migrate to other solutions(because with the latest modifications on IMDB site the plugin is not working anymore and it became increasingly difficult to use the software).

Thank you and I hope the situation will improve soon!

omg, I'm devastated :o
I always admired the amount of effort put into this labour of love, the freeware project pvd.
I'm using it for many, many years now to manage my collection (24k db entries and >5gb btw).
even a little temporary inconvenience in the imdb plugin can ruin the day for me :)
and I always feared the day when it finally comes to an end. :(
I'm sorry that I cant code a single line and I have to give the people who can the sad puppy eyes routine ... pretty please ... anyone?
and is there anything I could do? a donation maybe? :(

 Same here,
this is BAD NEWS really.
I have spent years polishing my pvd database, I have thousands of entries, the whole family is using it EVERY DAY and there is NOTHING out there that is comparable.
I have tried, believe me, many programs, from the well polished ones (XBMC, mediaportal) to the more techy ones (Extreme movie manager) and NONE of them do what pvd does.
Pvd has the right balance for me, between a nice enough interface and a great navigation tool (I can search, click, navigate, very easily).

I will write to Nostra, maybe we can pay him to get the code, I really don't care, I can spend money on this.
Ivek, do you have the necessary coding skills to maintain it or do we have to get someone else?
