Personal Video Database file missing movies Windows 8
kbushart:
New windows 8 machine. Have my Personal Video Database file, but not program.
Downloaded program from this site.
Database file shows it is 17 KB.
Open it with Personal Video Database. No movies there.
Scraping self off ceiling. Crying.
Please help kind strangers.
nostra:
17Kb cannot be right. The database is usually at least 4 MB. Check if you have any pvd or pvd.bak files on your hard drive. If you you find some make a backup copy right away.
kbushart:
My back up file is nearly 17 kb too. I don't have any graphics in it, very modest...over 500 records though. Yes it is a PVD file. There is a PVD.BAK file of it too. I open Personal Video Database and open the database file with it. It says at the top the name of the database file...but it says 0 movies. Most distressing. Any advice would be great. thanks
nostra:
What PVD Version did you have previously?
What is the size of the .bak file?
Can you send me the files?
kbushart:
Sorry I don't know what version it was. I've been using it for about 3 years at least.
I'll send you the files if you tell me how.
