Why -1 instead of 1? Do you know that? I can set the "viewdate" successfully, but not the "viewed" flag. hmmm...

Hi there,
I have just finished my draft version of an .nfo import script to import locally saved meta data (from MediaPortal). The watch status is stored separately in a small XML file beside every movie. I have succeded to read that file but using the AddFieldValueXML( ) function on the field "viewed" does not change the viewed flag.
Is it possible to change that field via script? If yes, how can it be done? I tried "true" and "false" as well as "0" and "1". Nothing worked.

I use the beta 1.0.2.3 and copy the posters from some websites. Tedious work but using the TMDb plugin I got 46! posters in different languages and had to delete 45. Even more work.

Amazon works when using it on a single movie, but not in batch mode
Also, you might try TMDb. It can be localized for German (see Options), and it has good posters (including German versions, but the selection for those is probably not good).

Hi there,
actually I have stored the PVD DB on the movie server. PVD is installed there as well. I use TeamViewer to access that server. Everything works fine except that I am looking for a possibility to accesss the DB with a PVD installation on a local frontend. So I installed Firebird on the server and changed the path to the movie data so it uses shares instead of absolute paths.
Server:
The first thing that appeared a little strange to me was that you have to use an absolute path when connecting from a client to the server:
Instead of using \\server\public\data\PVD\movies.pvd one has to link to \\server\E:\Data\PVD\movies.pvd. Once I figured that out, I could access the database. But I cannot see any pictures. If I look at the properties in the client installation (which are of course the same as on the server, because they are stored in the DB) I can see the correct path: \\server\public\data\PVD\posters\. Entering the path in an explorer window I have access to the pictures.
Am I doing anything wrong? I know I could store the pictures in the database, but for various reasons I decided otherwise.
All Computers are running Windows 7 Professional x64.
PVD version 1.0.2.3

Support / Removing of small posters not possible

Hi there,
when uploading posters from Amazon one often cannot see how large they are. After importing them some turn out to be very small. But I cannot delete them, because the button ribbon ist not large enough to display the "red cross" button. The last icon I see is the save button.
As a workaround I copy a large picture from somewhere to the clipboard and then replace the small poster in question with the large picture. After that I delete it.

Hi there,
the current version should be 0.1.0.8. Thank you for that plugin. Well done. It seems to be the only working German plugin at the moment. At least I have found no other than OFDB [DE] which is problematic. Are there other German import plugins I have missed?

Support / IMDB [DE] instead of IMDB [EN]

Hello!
The IMDB [EN] plugin seems to work very well, but all entries are in english. For kids and wife German would be a lot better. I have noticed, that IMDB searches on www.imdb.com. If you use the same search-string but replace www.imdb.com by www.imdb.de you will get the results in German. Is there a possibility to adapt the plugin or to use some sort of psf script to receive something like IMDB [DE]?

the plugin OFDB [EN] often does not work. But it does not show the normal popup "no movies found". One entry is shown, which does not represent a movie, but a link to the news area. If I do an online search for the movie directly on the web page of ofdb the movie is recognized and results are shown. Maybe someone can have a look.

Hi there,
I set the option "silent mode for all plugins" and "download all pictures". I then imported 200 movies. Very few movies have been recognized by the plugin. This is going to be another topic. And I had no pictures downloaded. Absolutely zero.
After that I downloaded the pictures by using the picture download plugin manually for every movie and it worked.
