I was very busy lately. The fix will probably be ready in a day or two.

Thank you Nostra. Most obliged. We understood that you were too busy.

Please check also the date (that turns to zero) when updating a TV series.

Kind rgds,

The Technical Specs also stopped importing...

IMDB plugin normally transferred Technical Specs information with me.

Yes, Fortunately it was only for a day...

Have we got any info/estimation on the IMDB plugin update ? (Pictures, Year in TV series, Full Actor Bio, not imported).

seems like IMDB is at it again. Unable to import poster from imdb for the past couple of days.

Same thing happens to me as of today. Yesterday it was working properly...

I am getting disapointed with all those IMDB changes so often.

Awaiting repairs again from Nostra....

1) If you import a new TV series, the year is not imported.
2) If you get information for a TV series Episode, the year is imported, but does not show on the list at left, till you Edit and save the Episode.
3) If you update a TV series, the year is completely lost.

Anybody else having this?

« on: January 17, 2014, 06:26:49 pm »
I downloaded today the latest version, but it still gets the "short" version of the people's Biography from the first page instead of the full Bio.

Usually the first page is only 2 lines long, ending with dots (...See full bio). Then you have to go to the full Bio page to copy and paste in PVD the rest but you miss the links...

Can somebody tell me if I am doing something wrong or is the plugin supposed to work like that ? About 3-4 months ago it used to download the full bio.

Many Thanks,

You are always right Ivek. I had noticed that too but thought that Imdb had it this way.

To: Afrocuban and Ivek

Both of you are too much advanced compared to my level, as I have no idea of programming..! The pictures I enclosed in my answer to Ivek (above) are from a Test PVD I made to check how that info worked. As I am using the "PVD Classic Tabs" (v.1.0.0.3) skin, my Normal working PVD, has a Custom tab which I had added for my DVD available items (not downloaded). See the first picture included. These fields are filled-in manually of course.
I am trying to add to this Custom Tab (or to a new one if that is possible), the technical data of the films/TV series, i.e. Color, Aspect ratio, Sound mix, and whatever else is available on the IMDB site (Top 250, etc. but not the user review).

Apart from the above I would like to add -somewhere- if the video is a TV Film, TV Mini-Serie, TV Series, to be able to sort them with the "sort by" button of the software.

Please don't ask me to write or program as I have no idea. Any simple help ?

Hi Ivek,
I am sorry for the delay in answering, as I was away from my PC.
I tried your plugin, but idoes not work properly. It does not import any information from IMDB, except the basic. (Picture: Reign.jpg).Not even the episodes.
When I use the IMDB-only plugin, I get the full info of the series and the episodes. (Picture:Reign_1.jpg)
The Status you mentioned has to be filled in by hand in the "Custom Field: Status". (Picture: Custom_Fields.jpg).But also the "Rank 250" and "Aspect Ratio" are not imported.

I do not understand how to automate these fields...Can you help ?

Many thanks for your help,

OK. I've read many threads about it but which one is the easiest to mark a film as a "Film" and a TV film or TV series as TV?  ???

I would like to find an easy way so I can sort them with one click in the PVDB "sort by" list.

Any advice would be welcomed... :-\

It's been a couple of days that my amazon.com and amazon.co.uk plugins stoped working and although sometimes covers are shown to chose, the selected cover is not imported and I get Socket Error #11001 "Host not Found".

Has amazon changed again their files ? Can anybody confirm pls ?

(Example: Tried to import from amazon.co.uk the BD cover of "Season of the Witch" (2010), with no success).

Support / Re: Bug of PVD or IMDB ??
« on: October 13, 2013, 10:06:58 am »
Thank you Ivek. As I have a different layout (see attachment), and comparing that to your picture which is correct, I tried to understand where the main difference was.

Result: The Prefix mentioned in the software "Die", is for the German article "Die"="The". But has the same orthography with the english verb to "Die". So the software according to my layout, thinks it is the German Article and puts the verb "Die" at the beginning of the sentence as a German Article !!!!

Changed to "Leave as they are" and problem was solved....

Thank you again for opening my eyes!!!

« on: October 13, 2013, 12:47:57 am »
I have noticed that whenever a movie or TV episode title, has the word "die" in it, when saved in PVD The word "die" comes first.

Examples: Live and Let Die (James Bond) becomes "Die....". See first enclosed attachment.

TV Series: Atlantis (2013). Episode 3. "The Boy must Die". Result when saved in 2nd attachment.

When you look at IMDB.com the wording is correct !!!!

Anybody has noticed that or am I alone it happens??? PVD 0.9.9.21 on Win XP Pro SP3.

It seems that IMDB was down when I tried to update the episode...

It still is, almost more than 24hrs for most people around the world.

Will try the new plugin asap and feedback.

George

Update 13 Oct. 2013: After 3 days, finally imdb.com is back. Checked and everything works fine with the latest imdb plugin.
