Support / impawards import plugin *not working*
« on: March 10, 2011, 05:35:58 am »
i have impawards set as my default poster import, and for the past coulple of weeks, since the last pvd plugin update it seems, it hasn't workded. anytime i try to import a movie poster, old or new (ex. tron: legacy, or pirates of the carribean), i get an error window popping up with a white x in a red cirle and the word error. thats it. before when this was a minor issue it would at least say socket error, this time its not stating anything other than error. anyone getting this by chance??? possible plugin update needed??? not a huge problem but the default poster import button is nice and handy vs. pulling up impawards and manually tracking down posters lol any help with this would be greatly appriciated, thanks.

currently having similar issue as well, just tried importing "buried" and "last exorcism" with the message "no movies found". went to impawards site and found several of each. then tried importing "alpha and omega" with great success. i noticed this issue started happening bout week or two ago and finally reaching a point of mild annoyance lol. coincedently, there was a semi-similar issue with the imdb plugin a few months ago that was able to be corrected, same type of fix needed for this as well???

thanks for the quick reply nono, however after a lil more researching..
i get the idea that im missing a key hardware component...the media tank lol. (unless the ps3 serves as that role???) but i checked my java and im good there. run the startme.bat and a "dos" looking screen appears (again im pretty green here lol) turn on ps3 and tv luck. not even sure how to get to kroozbox properties or even how to "point" in its direction. i can only assume that these steps are made possible with a "media tank"??
i thought that this would allow me to find my movies for streaming, thru my ps3, using the pvd listing and template appearance, and then choose the movie and have it stream to my tv thru my ps3. wishful thinking on my part perhaps, just not wanting to buy another media componet when i have a ps3.
if im waaayy off of how this intended to work thanks for your help any ways, if not then appearently i need waaayyy simpler, and more specific tutorial.  either way thanks :-[
